Frequently asked questions about Manipulation

Osteopaths and Chiropractors use manipulation routinely as a treatment.  Physiotherapists are also trained in manipulation techniques.  All our therapists will assess you thoroughly to determine whether manipulation is the right treatment for your condition.

Osteopaths apply manual pressure to treat certain musculoskeletal disorders and to restore overall health in the body. They use soft tissue (stretching, pressure and traction) and thrust technique which uses force to restore motion to a joint.

Chiropractic manipulation involves realigning the joints and moving them within or beyond their normal range of motion. This treatment is also commonly used to reduce muscle spasms and alleviate pressure on your spinal nerves. They use low velocity (slow, stretching) adjustments or high velocity adjustments applying firm pressure with a quick manual thrust to restore joint mobility.

Blackberry Clinic Doctors and Practitioners are all highly qualified and can treat a huge range of painful conditions.  Check out their profiles to see who can help you but if you are still not sure please call our friendly receptionists who can help you make the decision.
