Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy which uses gentle manual techniques to restore structures of the body (skeleton, muscles, ligaments and connective tissues) to a state of balance and harmony. Osteopathy is a perfect treatment for all ages from the young to the very elderly, including pregnant women.

Osteopaths can treat a variety of complaints including headaches, neck pain, hip and knee pain, soft tissue injury and back pain.

Treatments for Osteopathy

After a thorough assessment your osteopath will decide on a treatment plan for your condition or injury. This might include manual therapy such as mobilisation, manipulation or massage.

If appropriate the osteopath may offer Acupuncture treatment. You may have some exercises to continue at home and ergonomic advice. The treatment given to you will be individual to you. Treatments vary to suit alterations in your posture and symptoms and your osteopath will re assess each visit and treat accordingly.
