Wrist Pain

The wrist is made up of many small bones held together by ligaments and moved by tendons that cross the joint. Wrist pain is often caused by sprains or fractures, but can also result from repetitive strain, arthritis, tendonitis or nerve entrapment

Conditions Causing Wrist Pain

Common conditions causing wrist pain include carpal tunnel syndrome, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, tendonitis (such as De Quervain’s) and fractures such as a scaphoid fracture. The wrist is also a common site for ganglions which can be painful. The wrist ligaments can also be affected by any repetitive overuse such as typing, sporting activity and gardening.

Hypermobility refers to joints which have more range of motion than the average. This is commonly known as being double jointed.

Lorena-Testimonial

It would not be an exaggeration to say that Lorena has changed my life. Four months ago, having been diagnosed as having “severe, acute and chronic” disc degeneration I genuinely thought I was facing a life of disability (I am 49).

Lorena has re-taught me how to move my body and how to think about what muscles I engage to a point that I am now running, swimming and doing pilates again and have almost full flexibility in my spine. It almost feels like Lorena can see through your skin to your muscles, so profound is her understanding of how the body moves.
