Women’s Health Physiotherapy

Women’s Health Physiotherapy is the assessment and treatment of pelvic health conditions which involve the pelvic floor or pelvis. These conditions may relate to bladder, bowel or sexual function or pain in the pelvic region. Women’s Health physiotherapists have undertaken further specialist training in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology. We offer expert treatment to women of all ages; during pregnancy, postnatally and beyond.

Women’s Health Physiotherapy is recommended by NICE guidelines as the first line intervention for urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. We provide postnatal assessments to support new Mums in their recovery after giving birth and facilitate return to fitness.

Lorena-Testimonial

It would not be an exaggeration to say that Lorena has changed my life. Four months ago, having been diagnosed as having “severe, acute and chronic” disc degeneration I genuinely thought I was facing a life of disability (I am 49).

Lorena has re-taught me how to move my body and how to think about what muscles I engage to a point that I am now running, swimming and doing pilates again and have almost full flexibility in my spine. It almost feels like Lorena can see through your skin to your muscles, so profound is her understanding of how the body moves.
