Frequently asked questions about Ergonomic Advice

Poor posture can often the be the root cause of many aches and pains. Postural assessment and correction often form a component of your physiotherapy, osteopathy or chiropractic assessment and treatment.

Our practitioners will observe the way you sit or stand and will make suggestions and give you hints and tips on how best to correct your posture to minimise your pain and prevent recurrence in the future.

Our practitioners can give you advice about the best height of your seat and VDU display if you work in an office.  They can advise you about back supports for driving and help source other equipment that might be useful.

Poor outcomes following physiotherapy, osteopathy or chiropractic can be due to failure to change poor posture, so it is very important that you follow any postural advice given if you wish to see good long-term gains and make the best of your therapy sessions.
