They may use musculoskeletal ultrasound to make accurate diagnoses. They can also use fluoroscopy or ultrasound guidance for interventional injections such as steroid injections, joint injections, soft tissue injections, trigger point injections, platelet rich plasma injections, hydrodilatation injections and more. Some doctors use Shockwave Ultrasound therapy as a treatment, this is not the same as diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound!
