ESWT is offered to patients who have not responded well enough to other treatments such as physiotherapy, orthotics (insoles), rest, injection therapy, ice therapy and pain relief. It is a minimally invasive treatment that is carried out at some of our Blackberry Clinics. ESWT can offer relief from pain and other symptoms. This treatment is commonly used for achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis and tendon pains such as golfer’s elbow, tennis elbow and jumper’s knee (patellar tendonitis).
