Therapist consultations are changing in 2022

spinal-stenosis
We are now offering extended Physio, Osteopathy and Chiropractic appointments

We have experienced a number of practitioners requesting longer appointment times to fully evaluate and examine thoroughly,  particularly for complex patients.  We agree that it could be beneficial for many people particularly if the condition is complex such as chronic or acute back pain, frozen shoulder, neck pain, severe ankle or joint sprains etc.

We like to listen to our practitioners and patients who have also asked for this so we have added an extended consultation option of 45 minutes,  starting in 2022,  to ensure that patients can choose more time with their therapist for examination and evaluation of their condition.

This is the patient’s choice but we highly recommend that all new patients or patients with new conditions take the extended appointment option for an optimum experience. We feel that this will ensure total patient satisfaction. If you have the extended consultation time you are more likely to receive treatment in a first appointment, although this is not guaranteed. History taking and examination are part of the process of ensuring an accurate diagnosis is made so an appropriate treatment regime can be offered.

However, we also appreciate that some issues are relatively straightforward and that a half hour consultation will be adequate to examine and evaluate. For this reason we have kept the option of the short consultation which is 30 minutes only.
