Flo’s Nutritional Recipes – Any Fruit Smoothie

Fruit smoothies are a great way to increase your intake of antioxidants to help fight against inflammation and speed up the recovery processes.

Blackberry Clinic Health Advisor, Flo, who works at Blackberry Clinic Exeter has a passion for nutrition and creating delicious and nutritious recipes which are quick and easy to make, even with a busy lifestyle! Flo has an MSc in Sports Nutrition but you don’t need to be sporty to give these recipes a go!  We are going to share some of her recipes and try them ourselves!

ANY FRUIT SMOOTHIE

Adding an extra scoop of protein powder makes these fruit smoothies an effortless way of getting in you post session protein to help with recovery.

TIP: Experiment with different fruit in season, or keep canned fruits on hand for convenience

SERVES  1

Per Serving: Calories: 217, Carbohydrates: 36g, Fat: 1g, Protein: 16g

INGREDIENTS

  • 250ml semi skimmed milk or dairy free alternative
  • 200g low fat Greek yoghurt
  • 1 scoop of protein powder (optional)

Plus any one of the following fruit portions:

  • 1 large ripe banana
  • ½ cup strawberries
  • 1 peeled large peach
  • 1 peeled small mango

METHOD

  1. Put all the ingredients into a blender and blitz until smooth and frothy.
