The Blackberry Clinic is very proud that Clinic Director, Dr Simon Petrides has been invited to lecture at the 22nd International Sports Rehabilitation and Traumatology Conference on the subject of prolotherapy in footballers; following the treatment of a number of high profile premiership players.

Here at the Blackberry Clinic we believe a collaborative multidisciplinary approach to the care of all patients is key, and this particular conference aims to promote a multidisciplinary approach where the delegates can understand topics from a number of different perspectives. Muscle and tendon injuries are often managed in isolation by individual specialists, resulting in insufficient communication between all those involved in the recovery process. Many healthcare professionals will agree that best results are achieved when a team collaborates fully integrating the collective areas of expertise.

Dr Petrides has also recently lectured at the British Osteopathic Association Annual Conference and The British Institute of Musculoskeletal Medicine Winter Symposium. The 22nd International Sports Rehabilitation and Traumatology Conference is due to be held in April, 2013.
