Blackberry Clinic sponsor Hammerhead Sevens and we enjoyed a fabulous day out at Aldershot the other weekend watching some great rugby in mixed weather!
We are delighted to say that the Hammerheads Women’s Rugby Sevens team put on another impressive performance at Aldershot where the final of the Rugby Super Sevens Series was held on 25th June. The team competed in a tough pool and emerged clear winners of the pool. They ultimately faced Samurai Women’s team in the final. They sadly lost the final in a hard fought match but the overall score throughout the series meant they emerged as runners up of the whole series which for an inaugural year in the series was a truly remarkable result.
The Hammerhead Men’s team walked off with some silverware for their efforts as winners of the Bowl competition.
The Hammerhead Sharks were invited to play by the Army in their invitational tournament and they also emerged victorious, we believe without conceding a try all day.
There is clearly depth in the Hammerheads squad and the Women’s team are hoping to put in strong appearance at the Dubai Sevens in the autumn.
