Dr Jeff FosterDr Jeff Forster is a consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine. He qualified from the Royal Free Hospital, University of London in 1997 and initially trained and worked in General Practice before furthering his interests in Sports and Exercise Medicine. He obtained a Master's degree (with distinction) in SEM from the University of Nottingham in 2008 and the FSEM Diploma in Sport and Exercise medicine. In 2009 he began as one of the first full time trainees in NHS Sport and Exercise medicine in Sheffield and obtained entry onto the GMC specialist register as a consultant in Feb 2013

He has worked extensively in both elite and university level sport including spending time as team Dr to Huddersfield Town FC and Derbyshire County Cricket Club. He has travelled as medical officer for team GB at the World Student Games 2011 and also volunteered at the recent London 2012 Olympics.

He currently also works as clinical director at the Regional Rehabilitation Unit in the Royal Naval Base in Portsmouth, treating and rehabilitating injured servicemen and women.

He is still a keen amateur sportsman playing regular cricket and golf and believes passionately in the benefits of exercise for all in the prevention and treatment of chronic disease irrespective of age and disability.
