portrait-louise-allisonLouise is an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with 9 years of experience in the NHS and private practice. She began her career in London teaching hospitals, including Guy's and St Thomas' NHS foundation trust. Since then she has worked in various sports injury clinics, for the RAF and also in Canada, Gibraltar and France.

With a special interest in alpine injuries, Louise spends her winters in the ski resort of Val d'Isere where she runs Bonne Sante Physiotherapy, a clinic providing treatment and rehab to skiers and snowboarders. In the summer, she enjoys working with a variety of sports including water sports, golf, running, gymnastics, triathalons and ironmen. She has worked with sportsmen and women at all levels, from club to Olympic standard, and enjoys helping them return to optimal levels of fitness. Louise takes part in a range of different sports herself including skiing, running, yoga and water skiing.

She has a particular clinical interest in the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of knee ligament injuries and patello-femoral pain. She also has an interest in women's health physio, helping women in the ante and post-natal periods with aches and pains, especially pelvic girdle problems and pubic symphysis dysfunction. She tries to ensure her treatment sessions and exercise programmes are varied and regularly reviews her clients' progress to ensure they are achieving personal goals as quickly as possible.

Louise is committed to keeping up-to-date with research and best practice and has completed a wide range of additional courses, gaining further specialist skills including acupuncture, taping, kinesio-taping and sports massage. She uses a combination of these techniques, as well as manual therapy and exercise prescription, to aid optimal recovery from injury.
