Jo Lamplough

MSc, MACP, MCSP, BSc (HONS), AACP

Jo has worked as a Physiotherapist specialising at a senior level in musculoskeletal injury both in the private sector and the NHS. In 2010 she completed a Masters in Advanced Physiotherapy at Kings College London, which has refined her success in diagnosis and innovative treatment. She is one of a very small number of Physiotherapists nationally who study and develop their skills at this advanced level.

Applying scientific understanding of injuries and pain to form treatment programmes will help to optimise your outcome. Jo works in this way to get you pain free as quickly as possible.

Post graduate training certificates and regular treatment techniques include:

Jo enjoys the variety that her daily work brings and maintains an excellent knowledge in all areas, keeping the role of Educational Lead in a large Physiotherapy department. She has worked extensively in the following areas:

  • Arthritic and age related degeneration
  • Fracture and post-operative problems
  • Joint and spinal pain
  • Nerve compromise (e.g. sciatica)
  • Sports injuries
  • Work related, postural, whiplash injuries and headaches

From working closely with Consultants and Orthopaedic specialists at the Royal London Hospital, Jo is very aware of the need for timely referral for diagnostic scans and medical management when necessary. Her recent work at Clare Park Hospital and good working relationships with Consultants and GPs in Guildford will enable your swift referral, if required.

Jo is an active sports person and gym user. She enjoys squash, tennis, swimming and previously lacrosse at a county level. In the past she has been Physio for London Welsh Rugby and has experience in treating both professional and recreational sportsmen and women. This includes treating marathon runners and triathletes at all stages of their training, even 'patching up' for race day.

If you are struggling with your mobility or management of osteoporosis in later life, Physiotherapy assessment and exercise would benefit you. Jo is skilled in adapting treatment and rehabilitation to suit all ages having worked in both elderly care and paediatric departments.

Keeping up to date with current medical research allows Jo to offer you the best possible service. She is passionate about getting good results and looks forward to assisting you to recovery.
