Stretch and Tone
Mondays and Fridays, 09:45 - 10:45
Focussing on improving body awareness and everyday life by increasing flexibility and range of motion, Stretch and Tone classes help to relieve stress and tension, by relaxing the mind and body. Ideal for all levels of fitness - particularly suited to our older or less mobile clients.

Yoga
Mondays 18:30 - 19:30

Yoga is suitable for absolutely 'Everybody' people are drawn to Yoga for different reasons: to tone up, learn how to relax, become more flexible or simply for some me-time. But we all leave feeling transformed and healthy on the inside as well as out. The benefits are extensive. Not only does yoga affect the physical aspect of the body, it addresses the mind as well.

Body Blast
Tuesdays and Thursdays 19:00 - 20:00
Body Blast is a fast-paced class in which you do one exercise for 30 seconds to 60 seconds and then move on to another exercise. Everyone begins at a station, and when the instructor yells "Time!" everyone moves to the next free station. Some classes alternate an aerobic activity (like stepping or stationary cycling) with a muscle-strengthening activity (like using weight machines). Others focus exclusively on muscle toning or aerobic exercise.

Joe, Demi and Kasia take the "BODY BLAST" class and welcome people of any ability level.

Pilates
Tuesdays, 13:00 - 14:00 | Thursdays, 18:00 - 19:00 | Fridays, 11:15 - 12:15
This floor-based class focuses on improving flexibility, strength and muscle tone. The movements are slow, controlled and fluid with an emphasis on mind and body awareness. The objective of Pilates is to teach correct breathing and movement techniques to improve posture as well as abdominal and spinal control. An exercise class to suit people of all ages and abilities and a relaxing way to strengthen the lower back, mind and body. Originally developed for dancers in the 1920's, this unique discipline for holistic strength and flexibility has grown into an innovative and popular exercise class. Pilates is recommended by Osteopaths, Physiotherapists and Chiropractors and can provide long-term relief from lower back pain.

Exercise to Music
Wednesdays 19:00-19:45
This 45 minute high energy fitness class is choreographed to music and will add stresses to the musculoskeletal and cardiovascular system.

gym-1The Blackberry Gymnasium boasts an extensive range of cardiovascular equipment including Cross-Trainers, a freerunner, treadmills, steppers, rowers and bikes as well as The Rock. An innovative rotating climbing wall, this unique facility is not only fun, but use of it combines muscular strength and endurance, cardiovascular fitness and eye-hand co-ordination.

There is a broad range of fixed and free weights, including a Vectra multi-gym and Cable crossover. The Vectra is a multi-station, multi-exercise piece of equipment that is simple and safe to use, making it ideal for beginners while also offering enough weight and exercise options for the serious weight trainer.

Cable machines can be extremely versatile and can be used for a wide range of exercises through complete ranges of motion. Anyone can be accommodated by making adjustments to the cable machine as angles and heights can be modified allowing for a single machine to conveniently offer a full body workout. Safety is always a concern during any exercise, fortunately cable machines make it especially difficult for one to get in a position to hurt themselves. The weight is always controlled and secured on the stack, unlike free weights. The variety of equipment ensures the Blackberry Gym offers a complete range of resistance options that suit the beginner or experienced gym user.

The gymnasium has male and female changing facilities, locker areas and showers. .

The site also provides free and accessible parking.

The Blackberry Gymnasium is located at our flagship clinic in Milton Keynes, which has plenty of free onsite parking and is open 7 days a week, until late on weekdays:

The staff at The Blackberry Gymnasium will ensure that you achieve your goals and enjoy your workouts. Whether you want to improve your flexibility, lose weight, decrease your stress levels or return to full fitness after an injury, the gym staff and practitioners will work together to give you an individual and innovative programme of exercises and activities.

Before any programme is designed, a full lifestyle and fitness assessment is carried out to establish your level of fitness. This is the first step on your quest to achieve your individual health and fitness goals. The Blackberry Gym Phase One is a one-to-one session with an instructor who will give you a full fitness assessment and show you how each piece of equipment works. Your programme will be tailored to meet your goals and designed according to the results of your assessment. Your heart rate will be tracked throughout your workout to ensure suitable cardiovascular intensity.

Programme consultations are essential and are an ongoing part of your membership. As your fitness increases, goals will alter along with your programme. Here at Blackberry, the staff aspire to have a close rapport with our members and create a warm and friendly atmosphere for you to enjoy working out.
