'iPad neck'
27th January, 2012
A recent article in the Daily Mail (27/1/2012) has highlighted the problem of 'iPad neck'. This is increasingly encountered in the Blackberry Clinic and is due to the low positioning of the iPad on the lap or desk. It is caused by a postural overstrain of ligaments, muscles and discs in the neck and can be debilitating.
Treatment by an osteopath, chiropractor or physiotherapist is recommended along with raising the tablet onto a higher surface and tilting it toward the user.
