 Our Clinic Director
is a musculoskeletal physician and is qualified
in medicine, osteopathy and sports medicine.
He specialises in diagnosis and treatment of
back, neck and joint pains using manipulation,
injection, epidurals or sclerosant therapy (prolotherapy).
He frequently refers on to other members of the
team for more specific manual treatment or rehabilitation
exercise programmes utilising Pilates based equipment
and techniques. He makes special use of the gym
and fitness instructors for general exercise programmes.
He has access to MRI, CT and ultrasound scanners
to assist in diagnosis and accurately determine
the type of treatment. X-ray facilities are already
on site.
Dr Petrides is a keen advocate of the integrated
multidisciplinary approach to healthcare using
several different modalities of treatment to achieve
fast, effective relief of pain and disability.
He is also a council member of the British Institute
of Musculoskeletal Medicine and regularly lectures
nationally to other doctors on musculoskeletal
and sports medicine.
